After 25 years of practicing cardiology as both a private practitioner and under hospital employment, Dr. Baker has seen patient care change to the detriment of the patient-physician relationship.
The erosion of that relationship is what inspired him to open Baker Cardiology – a personalized concierge approach to heart health, nutrition and wellness. This new business model allows for unhurried office visits and more quality time with each patient.
Dr. Baker prides himself on being an educator, patient advocate and coach – guiding his patients toward a happier healthier life.
Dr. Baker is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiology and values patient education with an emphasis on wellness and prevention.
Dr. Baker grew up on Long Island where he developed an interest in science and technology. After earning his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Baker moved to Florida where he earned his medical degree and met his lovely wife, Dr. Mary Baker while attending Nova Southeastern University.
Sydney is Baker Cardiology’s Nurse Practioner and supports Dr. Baker in providing exceptional concierge cardiology and medical care to our patients. Prior to joining Baker Cardiology, Sydney served patients of Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital and its supporting group practices.

Additionally, Sydney holds a Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practioner program from University of Miami.
